Adele Kicks Off Summer Shows in Munich 

Superstar Adele kicked off her summer shows in Munich on August 2nd and 3rd with a grand opening. Over 140,000 people attended the opening weekend at the specially created open-air arena to experience the artist live. The setlist includes classics such as ‘Hometown Glory‘ and ‘Set Fire to the Rain‘ as well as songs from her latest album “30” like ‘Oh My God‘ and ‘Easy on Me‘. The show features impressive visuals presented on a 220 meter long screen – according to the organizers, the largest outdoor screen in the world. 

In keeping with the spectacular shows, the concert grounds also feature “ADELE World”, which provides entertainment before and after the shows with various attractions, including a Ferris wheel, the ‘I drink wine’ bar, and a stage with a Spice Girls cover band and karaoke. 

Eight more concerts are planned for August, with tickets still available for some dates. 

Since the release of her debut album “19” in 2008, Adele has become one of the most successful artists of her generation. Adele has been awarded 15 GRAMMYs, nine BRITS, 18 Billboard Awards, two IVORs, a Golden Globe, an Academy Award, and five American Music Awards. The British singer-songwriter has sold 11.5 million albums in the UK alone and approximately 48 million albums worldwide.
