Judas Priest achieve chart records in Germany and UK
After over 50 years of band history, Judas Priest achieve their first number-one placement on the German charts with their new album “Invincible Shield” just one week after its release.
Since the 1970s, the band has been considered one of the most influential in the heavy metal genre worldwide. Their 19th studio album, “Invincible Shield”, was released on March 8 via Columbia Records, showcasing all the band’s strengths in a fresh sound that has captivated fans and critics alike. Their previous album, “Firepower” (2018), reached number 2 on the German album charts and has sold over 93,000 copies in Germany to date.
Over the past 50 years, Judas Priest has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide and has performed on the biggest stages in the world. In 2010, the band was awarded a Grammy in the “Best Metal Performance” category, and in 2022, they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
With “Invincible Shield,” the band from Birmingham not only achieves a new record placement in Germany but also in the UK (number 2 on the album charts).
On Monday (March 11), Judas Priest kicked off their European tour in Glasgow, which will bring them to Germany in March for three sold-out shows (Frankfurt, Munich, Dortmund). In July, they will follow up with five additional shows and a headlining performance at the Rockharz Festival in Ballenstedt.
