Sony Music and Female Producer Collective Host Second Songwriting Camp at Circle Studios Berlin

Last weekend, on October 11 and 12, the second songwriting camp of the Female* Producer Collective (FPC) took place at the renowned Circle Studios in Berlin, in collaboration with Sony Music Entertainment Germany. Following the successful debut last year, the focus was once again on creative collaboration between selected artists and producers from the FPC.

During the two-day camp, the artists worked with two to three FPC producers on new songs. Artists involved included reeza, Julia Meladin, liska, Emma Rose, siovo, and ELA. A total of 9 new songs were created during intensive sessions at the renowned Circle Studios.

Lena Leick, project manager of the Female* Producer Collective, summarized the atmosphere and success of the camp: “The camp has once again demonstrated the potential that lies in connecting established artists with our FPC producers. We are proud of the songs and look forward to continuing to implement such special projects with Sony Music.”

In addition to the songwriting camps, Sony Music and the FPC also collaborate on the Female* Producer Prize, which was initiated by the Music Women* Germany association and is being awarded for the third time this year. This year’s award ceremony will take place on October 29, 2024, at Fotografiska Berlin.

“We are very excited to have found a partner in the Female* Producer Collective with whom we can advance the diversity of production teams through various initiatives. The impressive results of the songwriting camp show how positively this impacts the creative process,” said Katie Kirk, Vice President Epic Records/Sony Music.
